Are you a part of Ace Hardware?

Yes, we are! We're your local painting company and a proud part of your community. Like Ace Hardware, most of our Ace Hardware Painting Services locations are independently owned and operated by local entrepreneurs. These dedicated men and women are deeply rooted in the community, running small businesses with a commitment to quality and service—just the way it should be. Plus, we source our paints, stains, and supplies from Ace Hardware stores, helping keep profits local and supporting the neighborhoods we serve.

What services do you offer? 

We provide interior and exterior residential and commercial painting, including surface preparation, priming, and final coatings. We also provide cabinet painting, deck & fence staining and/or painting, color consultations, and minor wood & drywall repair.

Do you provide free estimates?

Yes! We offer free, detailed, no-obligation estimates after evaluating your home and discussing your painting needs with you. We always offer in-person estimates and our estimates are generally itemized by area.

How long does a typical painting project take?

The timeline varies depending on the size of the job, but most interior projects take 2–5 days, while exterior projects may take 3–7 days, weather permitting

Are you licensed and insured? 

Yes, we are fully licensed and insured to protect both our team and your home during the project.

Do I need to move my furniture before painting?

We recommend moving small and fragile items, but our team will cover and protect furniture and floors during the process.

How do you prepare surfaces before painting?

We clean, sand, patch, and prime surfaces as needed to ensure a smooth and durable finish.

Do you use eco-friendly or low-VOC paints?

Yes, we offer low- or no-VOC and environmentally friendly paint options upon request.

What should I do to prepare my home before painting starts?

We ask that you clear the walls of decorations, move small valuables, and provide clear access to the areas to be painted. You will be provided with a checklist of “Homeowner Homework” to complete prior to project kickoff.

Are your painters employees?

Most of our locations work with independent contractors. This allows them the flexibility to manage their own schedules while still being a key part of our team. We carefully vet and verify all painters, building long-term relationships with each crew. Many of them work with us regularly, ensuring consistent quality and reliability.

Why is weather such a factor for exterior projects?

  • TEMPERATURE: If it's too cold during the day or at night, the paint will not cure properly and will not adhere to the surface. This will cause issues with the paint, and those areas will then need to be fixed. It is best to wait for better temperatures, so your project looks the best. 
  • PRECIPITATION: The week before your project starts, if we see any weather coming in that we think may cause delays, we will be in touch to reschedule it for a better date. 
  • FORECAST OF RAIN ON PROJECT START DAY: If we power wash your home and then it rains, all the dirt and debris on the ground will be kicked up against the house, and the paint crew will have to power wash again. We will reschedule you to after the rain finishes, so we can start the project once the surface has dried. 
  • HIGH WINDS: For the safety of our crew and to protect nearby surfaces from overspray, we will stop for the day or until the wind dies down before we continue the project. 
Color & Paint Selection

Can you help me choose the right colors?

Absolutely! We offer FREE color consultation services for projects over $3,000 and every project receives up to three free Benjamin Moore paint color samples from your local Ace Hardware store to help you decide.

What brands of paint do you use? 

We use top-quality paints from Benjamin Moore®, but we can accommodate specific requests.
Costs & Payment

How much does it cost to paint a house?

Pricing depends on factors like the size of the home, number of rooms, condition of surfaces, and paint quality. We provide a detailed estimate after your estimate.

Do you require a deposit? 

Yes, we typically require a 25% deposit to secure your booking, with the balance due upon project completion.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, and major credit/debit cards.
Post-Painting & Maintenance

How long will the paint last?

Interior paint generally lasts 5-10 years, while exterior paint can last 7-15 years, depending on weather conditions and surface materials. The durability of the paint project often depends on the quality of the paint selected. Benjamin Moore paints such as Regal® Select and AURA® are the most durable, and AURA offers the best protection against color fade.

How should I maintain my freshly painted walls?

Ideally, wait at least two weeks for newly painted walls to cure before dusting or cleaning them. If spills or stains happen sooner, you can safely clean a newly painted wall after four to six hours using a soft cloth or sponge with mild soap and water for cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals to prevent paint damage.
